Evidence Base of Clinical Studies on Qi Gong:

In 705 randomized clinical trials
conducted in 14 countries. The top 15 diseases/conditions studied were: diabetes,  chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,  hypertension, stroke, cervical spondylosis,  lumbar disc herniation, insomnia, knee osteoarthritis,  low back pain,  osteoporosis, coronary heart disease, breast cancer, peri arthritis of shoulder, depression, metabolic syndrome. The most frequently reported outcomes were physical function, quality of life, symptoms, pain and mental health indicators.

                       Beneficial results from practicing Qigong                          were reported in 97% of studies.

Qigong (pronounced Chee Gung) combines gentle movements, relaxed breathing and focused intention. Qigong can benefit anyone regardless of age or level of fittness. There are 1,000 different styles of qigong. One style is called Tai Chi. John practices and teaches an integral style of qigong/Tai Chi combining many different styles or forms to allow for safe, easy and effective results. Qigong is considered a highly effective health care practice.

There are a wide variety of Qigong practices. They vary from the simple, internal forms to the more complex and challenging external styles. Everyone can benefit, from the most physically challenged to the super athlete. There are Qigong classes for children, senior citizens and every age in between. individuals with osteoporosis, Parkinson's and even cancer can benefit from practicing Qigong/Tai Chi.
